Crystallized Glass Thassos
China's first generation of sintered Crystallized Glass for construction began in the mid-1990s, nearly 20 years later than Japan’s NEG. Since 2001, we have focused on the R&D and large-scale production of Crystallized Glass, becoming one of the few professional suppliers in China.
This is an industrialized material that uses silicon oxide as the raw material (75%) to be completely crystallized at 1100°C. It looks like a stone, but it is actually crystallized glass. The surface of it is rich in crystal particles of Greek Thassos, and colleagues in the American materials industry also named it Glass Thassos. In other countries, it also named Marmoglass, Micro Crystal Marble, Neopaires, Glass-Ceramic and Micro-Crystallized Glass.
Glass Thassos combines the advantages of ceramics and glass, avoiding the inherent defects of natural stone:
bright white, non-absorbent, acid and alkali resistance, bending and compression resistance, strong weather resistance and UV resistance, and can be bent into an arc or curve.
Residential space applications, especially wet room, such as kitchen, bathroom wall tiles, backsplashes, mosaic tiles, window sills, staircase steps, counter tops, and commercial exterior walls coverings, etc.
The slab size is 320 x 160 cm, and the thickness can be customized from 1.2 to 5.0 cm.
With China's rich mineral resources, we have and can customize a variety of colors.
